This Hazy Double IPA is again, one of the most ambitious Southern Hemisphere hop showcases to date. It features nine different lots of hops across six different varieties in multiple forms. Together, Nelson Sauvin, Riwaka, Waimea, Egger’s Special, NZ Cascade and Nectaron deliver an immersive tropical diesel and sweet fruit experience that borders on overwhelming. And that is just the nose. Once all of those hop oils light off in your mouth, there is nothing left to do but hold on tight and let the blur of spicy passionfruit, mango creamsicles, pineapple infused Sauv Blanc, sticky flower, and fresh squeezed orange juice pin you to your seat. A beer dry hopped with the equivalent of 426 lbs of T-90 hops shouldn’t be this easy to drink, but this hard charging elephant is made of pure velvet.
