Named after the River Tay in Scotland, these plump, juicy, exceptionally aromatic berries are a cross between a red raspberry and a blackberry. Alvarado Street loves the unique burst of flavor, but the growing season in “warm, sunny” (haha) Scotland is brief, and they've been working on bringing these in for almost a year. But it was worth the wait. They layered in a little blackberry and raspberry for a delicious kaleidoscopic berry effect, and then conditioned it on a ludicrous amount of vanilla. Decadent, delightful, delicious… This is a special treat in every sense of the word.
